Journalists belles stun Campus Writers, 25-18, 25-27
Budding journalists lurched the upset axe on early crowd favorite Campus Writers in the volleyball exhibition game for the School Press Conference, Sept.6.
Journalists conquered the Campus Writers in straight sets, 25-18, 25-17 in massive win in its battle for the reign.
Campus Writers was leading in the middle of the first set, 17-14 but Sheryl Benitez prompted a searing 7-1 run to hand the Journalists the lead for good, 24-15.
A deeper bench was a plus factor for the Journalists to win the match.
Journalists squad bugged by the noise of the crowd stumbled in the opening session but swept the following sets in emphatic fashion to shore up their bid to clinch crown.
